Leading a team of 10, you will be the critical link that binds finance to the organisation to become an integral business partner. To be successful, you need to be a good communicator and to understand the entire business, not just the ins and outs of your own department.
Your role is to make sure that the implications of your reports are clear to all and that each department understands how its contribution impacts on the overall objectives of the Charity. The numbers reported must relate directly to improving performance and delivery.
This is a role that requires balancing the hands-on financial management for the organisation, with the highest level of decision making and advice.
Key areas of focus within the role will be to:
provide effective business partnering to the wider organisation
improve financial process and systems, looking to innovate where possible
rationalise the number of key budget holders across the organisation
