We are searching for an ambitious individual to work with a leading property business backed by an exciting investment group with state-of-the-art offices based in Borehamwood.

Due to exceeding growth plans, our client is now looking for a Head of Maintenance.

The Head of Maintenance will have principal responsibility for the growth and effective management of the company’s internal maintenance department. They should utilise staff, contractors, and the other resources available to them to ensure the highest quality of service is provided. Delivery and Management of Services

The Head of Maintenance will be responsible for ensuring the Maintenance department effectively and efficiently delivers its defined services. This includes but is not limited to: –

  • Managing internal and external resourcing 
  • Managing job scheduling 
  • Creating, reviewing and signing off reports and service sheets
  • Maintaining, developing or enhancing processes and procedures
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring a high standard of service

Revenue Generation and Management 

The Head of Maintenance will be responsible for executing the agreed business plan for each financial year, this will include but is not limited to: –

  • Reviewing and monitoring pricing
  • Issuing quotations and invoices
  • Estimating income forecasts with the support of the internal finance team
  • Setting KPIs for other staff members to ensure the delivery of revenue targets 
  • Reviewing financial reports and information 

Strategic Growth and Development

The Head of Maintenance will be responsible for considering the strategic growth and development of the department, this will include but is not limited to: –

  • Assessing the viability and pricing of additional service offerings
  • Establishing additional service offerings
  • Working with internal stakeholders to develop or procure appropriate technology solutions – Planning resourcing, leading on recruitment, training and onboarding

Standards Management and Expert Support

The Head of Maintenance, as a key internal stakeholder, also fulfills some other duties within the business which include but are not limited to: –

  • New site asset surveys
  • Review and sign off of asset registers and PPM schedules for new sites
  • Expert support in relation to technical queries, likely relating to the services delivered
