This role will push your boundaries and give you the excitement factor! Stratton Recruitment is excited to be partnering up with a luxurious, high end and attractive client based in Cambridgeshire/ Suffolk.
Your role will consist of, production of monthly/yearly accounts working alongside the FC and finance team.
The Job
- Reporting to Financial Controller, the management accountant is responsible for the production of monthly/yearly accounts working as part of the finance team
- As the management accountant in the multi-entity and multi-currency environment you will have the following key responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Ownership of Management Accounts and reporting
- Delivery of the monthly close as well as year-end to tight deadlines
- Preparation and posting of journals to close month end to deadlines
- TB reviews, margin analysis, variance analysis (MOM, YOY, comparison of forecasts/budgets with actuals, etc)
- Production of timely management reporting packs with P&L analysis
- Intercompany reporting and reconciliation, management and maintenance of intercompany accounts
- Completion of month-end and year-end group reporting packs
- Assist with preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Support in the interim audit and financial audit and in the preparation of external statutory financial reporting
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliation on a monthly basis, particular attention to key accounts with high volume of statutory importance e.g. – payroll accounts, VAT control accounts and credit card control accounts, etc. Ensuring items are resolved timely and escalated appropriately as required
- Review and preparation of payroll journals processed by outsourced company
- Fixed Asset register management and reporting
- Maintenance and reporting of IC accounts
- All relevant returns including VAT and Government Surveys
- Support to more junior staff
- Ad hoc finance tasks and projects as required
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage working relationships with both internal and external parties and ensure good business-like relationships are maintained, including auditors and tax authorities
- Challenge existing practices, suggest improvement where necessary and implement
- Ad hoc projects/investigations
Managerial Tasks
- Support to financial controller in managing the team
- Support to more junior staff based overseas
Essential
- Min. Part Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/IACEW); Qualified to Degree
- Experience of working in a similar finance function
- Microsoft Navision or similar accounting system
- Strong reconciliation, mathematical and organizational skills, communication skills; and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and multi task under pressure,
- Attention to details,
- Experience of working in multi- entity and multi-currency environment
